Singer-songwriters Cheryl Wheeler and Kenny White have been best friends for years, both on stage and off sharing stories and musical talents with audiences around the country. We are absolutely thrilled to have Cheryl returning this August with her dear friend, Kenny White, for a Deertrees' concert of a lifetime! To have both these exceptional performers on stage at one time promises to be one of the most magical of evenings under the stars nestled in the pines in our historical opera house building. CHERYL WHEELER: Cheryl Wheeler has to be seen to be appreciated. Nothing you read and nothing you hear from her albums prepares you for how good a performer she is. You may not be familiar with Cheryl, but you have probably heard her music. She is very respected as a songwriter by her peers, which can be seen by how many of them record her songs. If they think she is great, then you owe it to yourself to learn more if you aren't familiar with her. KENNY WHITE: Hailed by reviewers from the New York Times to the San Francisco Chronicle for his thrilling and unique piano playing, Kenny White is a talented singer/songwriter and a successful NYC-based record producer. He has written, performed, and produced music for hundreds of TV and radio commercials as well as film soundtracks, and has worked with stars like Keith Richards, Merle Haggard, and Linda Ronstadt. Astonished audiences often ask KENNY WHITE after a live performance, How come Ive never heard of you? when in fact, the pianist, singer/songwriter, producer and arranger has been very well known in the NYC recording scene for decades. He comes to the world of the touring singer-songwriter following a long and successful musical journey. LONG LIST OF PRIORS, his aptly named new album, is the late
