The festivities are about to begin at Waterville Valley for the 4th of July celebration! All are welcome to join in the fun and participate in the old-fashioned Independence Day Hometown Parade. The kids can decorate their bikes and scooters, and cars and floats can join the line-up. Spectators gather in the Town Square to watch the parade which begins at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 4th.   In the evening, visitors can pack their coolers or grab dinner in Waterville Valley's Town Square and enjoy a free outdoor concert with the Bob Pratte Band from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The day ends with a bang as Waterville Valley hosts a spectacular fireworks show over Corcoran Pond starting at 9:30 p.m.   On Friday, July 5, don't miss a family-friendly outdoor Movie Night on Corcoran Pond Beach starting at 8:30 p.m. Bring the whole family to Town Square for the Independence Day Family Carnival on Saturday, July 6. There will be inflatable games, face painting, patriotic-themed crafts, live music and more. On Sunday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m., a wildlife ambassador from the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center will host an Animal Encounter program, ‘Animals with Bad Reputations'.
